What is “High Performance Remodeling”
It sounds a little like fluffy advertising language. Ok, it is that a little bit, but it actually has some meaning to it that you should care about. When you think about something that is labeled high performance, you might think of a race car or professional athlete, but high performance has good application to many areas of the professional world, from art to medicine to financial to construction. It’s a simple definition: To do something better, faster and more efficiently than others.
Does this just mean doing the basics of construction and remodeling really well and really fast? A Honda and a Ferrari can both drive 100 mph. High performance must be more than completing a remodel quickly and precisely, though that is part of the equation. If it were limited to well-done basics, then “high performance remodeling” really would be empty marketing language.
High performance focuses on going beyond the basics to attain a level of service, installation and product selection that requires an exceptional knowledge of products, best practices and building science. While this style of remodeling could take on a higher price tag, it doesn’t have to. Designing a project correctly and prioritizing the budget can often result in Ferrari performance on a Honda price tag. Over the next three blog posts, we will look at these three areas of high performance remodeling and how you will benefit from them.
